Friends, Romans, country-folk!

Grab your togas and laurel wreaths and head on over to the Hydra Arts website as Roman Fest is officially launched!

Roman Fest is a brand-new, free, family friendly arts festival located in the heart of Old Kilpatrick. Roman Fest playfully questions the areas relationship to the Roman Empire, who arrived in Old Kilpatrick around 2000 years ago and settled their most northerly frontier in this location.

For Roman Fest 2025, we have commissioned 6 artists to create brand new art works that take as their starting point this historical context. The artists are:

Through this community focused programme, Roman Fest playfully questions the areas relationship to the Roman Empire. We invite you to come along and do so with us.

Tickets are free, but must be booked online. Some events have a limited capacity, so make sure you book your ticket to guarantee your place.
